Our Referred Programs
Certain programs can only be accessed when referred by a health, social or court worker.
Our Referred Programs
These programs are available to walk alongside young people who might need some more individualised support.
Reconnect Program
Connects young Victorians in Brimbank, Hume, and Maribyrnong with personalised career guidance, skill development, and the material resources they need to pursue their educational and employment goals with confidence.
Sharp Choices
Sharp Choices is an evidence-informed group intervention designed to reduce youth weapon possession by addressing the complex drivers that lead young people to carry.
Youth Umbrella Project (YUP)
Creates individualised support networks for young people in Melbourne’s western suburbs, connecting them with specialised services while building their capacity for positive decision-making and community engagement.
Program Management
Across all programs, we have seen growing demand, particularly from young people presenting with overlapping challenges including family conflict, justice system contact, mental health pressures and housing instability. Our team has responded with professionalism, consistency and a clear commitment to early intervention.
At the centre of our work is relationship.
Through Reconnect, YUP and NWSYP, we have supported young people to re-engage with education and employment, strengthen family relationships, develop emotional regulation skills and make safer decisions.
Our non-reoffending outcomes and sustained engagement rates continue to demonstrate that early, structured support works.
Work Off Your Fines
We all make mistakes, but did you know some fines can be worked off through participation in upskill programs? Let The Youth Junction show you how.
Work and Development Permit
The Youth Junction Inc. is an accredited organisation under the Fines Victoria – Work and Development Permit scheme.
Therefore, eligible young people who have completed an assessment with a Case Manager at The Youth Junction Inc. may be able to “work-off” their fine debt by participating in one of our upskill programs including:
- Barista workshops
- Homebase Cooking Workshops
Each type of up-skill program has an hourly work-off rate. The work-off rate determines the amount that the fine debt is reduced based on the hours completed on one of the above programs.
Please discuss with a Case Manager to see if you are eligible or email info@youthjunctioninc.net.au
